Two news books were available at the conference.
Rett Syndrome Handbook 2nd Edition, published by the International Rett Syndrome Association. More than 600 pages of information on Rett syndrome, including chapters on education, therapeutic approaches, equipment and ideas, friends and fun, family voices and the parent–physician partnership. View the promotional pamphlet here: page 1, page 2 (pdf files). The introduction and table of contents can also be viewed at the IRSA website by following this link [link broken].
Raindrops and Sunshine, compiled by Kathy Hunter, published by the IRSA. Another wonderful book full of stories that celebrate our love for special children, lets others know how much our children mean to us and shows how they contribute to a better world. Put this colourful book on your coffee table or give it as a meaningful gift. It's not only great for parents, but for grandparents, aunts & uncles, friends, caretakers, teachers, classrooms, therapists and others in your circle of care. View the cover here (pdf file).
Kathy signed copies of Raindrops and Sunshine at the conference.
You can order both books directly from IRSA. E-mail admin@rettsyndrome.org to order.
